The Isabel will be a home that welcomes both artists familiar to Kingston audiences, and one or two who will be new discoveries. The brilliant young Swedish cellist, Jakob Koranyi might be the latter. Koranyi has performed with major orchestras throughout Europe and has a longstanding relationship with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, with which he has toured throughout North America. Koranyi’s repertoire includes not only many of the great cello classics but also several contemporary works and his Kingston program will likely feature exciting works of both genres.
